The Wignacourt Museum in Rabat occupies the former Baroque residence of the chaplains of the Order of St John, beside the parish church of St Paul. It houses a rich collection of religious art, silver, coins and artefacts.
Beneath the museum visitors can explore St Paul's Grotto, traditionally associated with the apostle's stay on Malta, together with early Christian catacombs and a network of tunnels that served as air-raid shelters during the Second World War.
