San Blas Bay is located in the northeastern part of Gozo island that is famous for its green vegetation, fertile valleys and rocky landscapes. The beach is situated not far from the Ramla Bay, but it is smaller and less crowded due to its location – you can reach it on foot only. So, if you are a lover of calm family rest, welcome to San Blas beach.
It is covered with reddish sand and is surrounded by cliffs and hills that provide fascinating landscape. On the top of one of the hills, on the height of 120 meters above the sea level a watchtower is located. It was built in 1670 by the knights of St John`s order.
The water of San Blas bay is very clear and it will be definitely appreciated by the fans of snorkeling. The beach is well-conditioned and provides numerous facilities for your comfortable rest – you can rent an umbrella and a deckchair, have a snack or a drink in one of the kiosks. If you want to contemplate the surrounding landscapes, the rent of canoe is available.
A small parking with the capacity of a few cars is located near the beach. The second closest one is only 2 km away.

Clear water, unique red sand, not many people here. If you're too tired, young, old or just lazy, you can use offroad car service that gives you ride up the hill, prices starting at 3€ per head.

If you want to go off the beaten path, join the locals on this pretty red sand beach – no buildings blocking the view, not even any traffic as the road was closed, makes this a very peaceful place.
