Gnejna Bay is a popular tourist spot located in the Western part of the Maltese island near the village of Mgarr. It is attractive for the visitors due to the comfortable and clean sandy beach, picturesque panoramas and lots of facilities.
The beach zone is surrounded by limestone cliffs giving sufficient amount of shade that makes it an ideal place for sunbathing. There are plain stones that make the beach comfortable for lying. It is a good variant both for those who prefer tranquil family rest and for the lovers of passing time in the big company of friends – here you can not only swim and sunbathe, but also organize parties and cook barbeque.
Gnejna Bay provides lots of facilities – here you can rent deck chairs, umbrellas, scooters, practice such activities as banana boating and water skiing. Also there are several kiosks where food and drinks can be bought. This beach is very popular among the tourists and that is why it is not advisable to visit it on week-ends – it will definitely be overcrowded.

Go to the next bay by bus (ghajn tuffieha) and walk over the dunes to Gnejna Bay. It's a nice little hike with beautiful views.

Small beach with rocky bottom and bars for young party goers. Skippable.

Lovely beach - a bit rocky at first unless you find the clear water path ;)

Nice sandy beach, but water is full with seagrass usually, there was turtles last year.
